Bathroom Tissue Rolls revamped!!

Who knew these bathroom tissue holders would end up making some cool stuff?!!

I made some game system (PSP) invitations with the roll. I then made the invitations out of tags and placed them inside the pocket. They were so fun to make.....better yet, they were inexpensive to make and I am definitely being resourceful!

Trick or Treat!

Just in time for Halloween..... I created this card with creepy, crawling sweet-toothed spiders. So get inspired and create your spooky cards before it's too late!

New Money Holders!!

When I find or see new designs I get so inspired that I just have to try making them myself. This is just what I did with these nifty holders! They are the perfect thing to use when you don't exactly know what to give as a gift!!

p.s. I am also experimenting with my newest gadget...can you guess which one it is from the pictures?

Teacher Treat Boxes

It's that time of the year again when mother's (including me) are getting ready for another school year. By now, most-if you are an early bird like me-have already purchased the kids' school supplies, uniforms and backpacks. If not, well- you are cutting it short, but still have time. If after all the chaos and expenses you still feel unaccomplished and like taking on a challenge? Well, ...here is your answer!

I made these for my colleague, Marisa. She wanted me to create some "welcome back" gifts for her friends, who also happen to be teachers. I hadn't worked on paper mache products before so this was a new challenge for me. I was excited to see the end result. I hope you like them as much as I loved and enjoyed making them.

Hope everyone has a great school year!!

Birthdays, and more birthdays!!

Last week we went to Dallas...and when I realized we would be there for Cindy's birthday, I made this card for her. I like the fact that I've been utilizing my Cricut more!

Post-it Note Stands

I can't take credit for this nifty idea. I found it in one of the blogs I follow.....I LOVE this site! Click here to see their version of this project. I was so impressed with how simple they are to make. Since I couldn't get enough with one...I got carried away and made a lot more!!! These are perfect gifts to give to anyone!!

Good Luck Notes

I made these for my two colleagues, Adriana and Rocio, who will sadly be moving back to their hometown with their family. I thought it was a nice "good luck" gift and something to start them off at their new campus! We'll miss you ladies!

Post-it Note Holders with Mini Pens

These are the best!!! I loved making them!! Thanks to Kerry's Paper Crafts, a blog I've been following, I was able to recreate my own!! My only problem has been finding the mini pens. I've tried EVERY possible  store that could carry them and I have had no luck. As a crafter and educator you learn to improvise-so that's what I did. Well, tried anyway. I purchased some mini pens but quickly found out they were to thick to fit through the pen holder (I already had the one  shown on the picture). I still used the ones I purchased but since they referenced Staples in the site, I'll be buying them from them when I go to San Antonio in two weeks! That will save me shipping fees! =)
Aside from that little glitch, they are so cute, simple, and best of all- fun to make!! Thanks for the ideas!

CK Summer Camp 2010!

Last year I got to participate in CK's Summer Camp and this year I'm at it again!! I've been very busy completing my Disney Album but I took the time to create this layout from the Flag Ceremony section. I think I earned my badge today.

Bows, Bows, Bows!

Every year I always purchase news hair bows for the girls and every year they always end up costing me a pretty penny (especially for their uniforms at the beginning of the year). Sometimes I also have a hard time finding bows that match their shirts, outfits, or dresses. To try to solve that dilemma and to help myself keep those costs down, I am going to start making them myself! After all, they are not that difficult to make as I thought they would be and inexpensive to make! So here are the first set of bows I made!!

Harley-Davidson Gift Card

This is the third card I made using the ideas presented on the Card Making with Cricut book. As you can see I used a Harley-Davidson theme to create it using the gift card template. I then finished the project by placing a gift card also by H-D inside.

Mother's Day Card

With Mother's day just around the corner, this is a great way to show your appreciation for her. I created this design based on the book I mentioned on an earlier post. I also made (and aesthetically) attached a necklace I also made to go with the card. This was the first of several necklaces I made.

Using my Cricut

I've been trying to utilize my Cricut Machine more than I have since Charlie gave it to me. So when I found this book on Card Making with Cricut, I decided to invest in it since I own the Wild Card cartridge that is used many times in the book.

What I love about this book is that you are not obligated to make a particular card design. You can improvise the template or change its theme if you wish to do so. For example, originally this was a "Thank You" card but I changed it to be a birthday card instead. Another feature I like about the book is that it guides you step by step on the instructions in order to create your card. It doesn't have step-by-step pictures, but it does have a picture of the end product and the inside of it. I wish it did though. I still love the book and I have already created three of the designs presented in the book, which I will publish on another post.

The card came out nice and I love the color scheme! I love how the green "pops" out. I created it for my colleague and friend, Alma. Happy Birthday, A-Rod!! :D

Fourth of July Camping Trip

We love going camping with the family! After we came back from our trip two years ago, I started to download all the pictures from the memory card and accidentally erased ALL my pictures including these!!!! If this has ever happened to you and you're anything like me, you cried your heart out for this unintentional mishap. Needless to say, I was upset at myself and heartbroken at the same time. I could't believe what I had done and I was not about to let it go. Pictures are an extension of my life. So I made some calls and they referred me to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. After explaining what had happened, the technician still didn't guarantee that my pictures would be recovered. Luckily, they were!!! Of course I paid a pretty penny for them and in the end I had the pictures backed up into a CD. I was so relieved and got to work right away. Here are some images of the album. Can't wait for August to go camping again!
